About Us
Riverside Meditation and Mindfulness programs were created to share meditation and mindfulness with the Northwoods community.
Our programs are open to anyone interested. They include education, practice, and discussion.
Programs are offered in person in a variety of settings and virtually. Details on how to currently join us can be accessed by emailing us. You may also request a program or presentation in your community setting.
There are no costs for participation.

Our teacher
Kathy Mitchell was a psychotherapist for over 40 years until her recent retirement. When practicing meditation and mindfulness she found these practices to be life-changing and transformative.
She immediately began to integrate them into her therapy practice as both individual guidance and group programs and practice.
In retirement, she continues to have an abiding commitment to offer this guidance and discussion as a service to the Northwoods community.
Her intention is to make this wisdom practical and accessible to everyone, while constantly deepening her own practice of these concepts.
Mindfulness
After a number of years of virtual mindfulness and recordings, virtual programs are currently on hiatus.
All previous recorded programs can be accessed from the Recordings tab above.
The programs cover a variety of topics related to increasing awareness, well-being, compassion, and stability through mindfulness and related skills.
Meditation
Meditation meets every other Thursday at 5:30pm via Zoom. The alternate Thursday we meet in-person in Rhinelander. Please contact us for specifics on links and locations.
Wind and Water Zen, a Buddhist meditation sangha meets Mondays at 5:30pm in Woodruff. For more information, please Contact us.
These opportunities are for those who want support and community for their meditation practice. Please read the descriptions in the Mindfulness and Meditation tabs to decide which group would most meet your needs.
